World Conference on Disaster Management (WCDM) 2012
The World Conference on Disaster Management (WCDM) is the pre-eminent conference of its kind – providing its participants with the opportunity to gain valuable education, training and exposure to examples of best practices, that are provided to assist them, their organizations and their communities. In order to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disaster.
WCDM 2012 brings innovative thoughts and programs to the emergency management and professional business sector through a series of sessions including: use of social media before and during a crisis; building a culture of recoverability; “bottom – up” disaster response; and, corporate social responsibility during a crisis.
The WCDM’s focus is to help break down silos and to encourage professionals in all fields of disaster management, in both public and private sectors, to work together. WCDM offers a great opportunity to network with peers and colleagues from over 35 countries who share the same challenges and have the same goals.
